A Letter from the HOA Board of Directors
In February 2008 we had our annual Home Owners Association meeting.  The purpose of this annual meeting was to discuss the 2008 budget and to elect a new board member.

We are happy to report we have a full board of directors and Architectural Control Committee to serve you in the coming year.  We can always use more volunteers for any of the HOA key positions.    Please let us know if you're interested in becoming involved in a friendly community effort.  Your involvement means a safer, happier, and more beautiful Columbia Park neighborhood!

As you consider home and landscaping improvements, please remember to submit your change or improvement requests to the Architectural Control Committee well in advance of work.  Don't let the word "Control" scare you - our goal is to keep our neighborhood beautiful and consistent, not to deny your requests!  The process is easy and is designed to help us meet legal requirements of our HOA covenants as a community.  Changes or improvements to things such as your decks, fences, house painting, retaining walls, etc. should be approved by the ACC prior to beginning work on these projects. The ACC will get your request turned around quickly to allow you to begin the work as soon as possible. Please allow 30 days for the ACC to consider your request.

Did you know we have our own Columbia Park community email group?  Please join our email group to share information with your neighbors and keep up to date on any news.  (See bottom of this webpage.) We look forward to sharing a great year with all of you!

Board is seeking HOA Officer volunteers
With the end of terms of several of our officers, the HOA Board is seeking Columbia Park homeowners who can volunteer to fill any of the officer slots. We are seeking a president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer. If you are interested, contact any of the Board members.

•  Learn about getting approval for your exterior house project, such as a fence.
•  Read up on documents about our Homeowners'  Association and on plans to widen SR-524 in front of Columbia Park.
•  View interesting aerial maps of our neighborhood.
•  Get easy directions to our neighborhood to give to friends
•  There's much more, too!

•  The common lot play structure will be getting a maintenance improvement soon.
•  Remember to maintain yards and keep exteriors neat and clean.
•  All exterior home improvements need to be submitted to the ACC for approval.

Do you know about the Association's Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions? All homeowners agreed to abide by our homeowners' association Covenants as a condition of your purchase of a home in Columbia Park.

The Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions ("CC&R") contract gives the association significant leeway in taking steps to assure that our neighborhood remains an esthetically pleasing, people-friendly, law-abiding and respectful environment.
